According to a study published in Harvard Business Review, 70 percent of all change programs fail. In the majority of the cases failure occurs as a consequence of the:

• implementation process being too slow and mismanaged
• applied change programs being too restricted and fragmented

Based on examples of successful corporate restructuring programs we identified four main themes:

1. crisis control
2. rebuilding stakeholder support
3. financial strengthening
4. fixing the business

They are the infrastructure of the restructuring methodology.
